A standard physical notarial seal in Nigeria should be a round impression carrying your essential information. Best practice is a circular rubber stamp or self inking device, roughly 30 to 40mm in diameter.

Notary’s Name
Full name as registered, usually appearing on the outer ring at the top.

Role
The inner circle commonly bears the words “Notary Public Nigeria” or similar.

Supreme Court Number, SCN
Your official commission number, appearing at the bottom of the outer ring. It must match the number on your certificate.

Shape and Size
Circular, with jiggered edges and text arranged in concentric rings. Some notaries use double circles. Roughly 30 to 40mm in diameter is standard.

All text should be clear and legible. Whichever design you use, the seal must explicitly reference the title “Notary Public” and carry your name and Supreme Court Number, that combination is what makes it verifiable against your official record.
